Cal was a pretty strange guy, if you asked me. There was a side to him that seemed so devil-may-care, who knew about vampires and wasn't at all thrown off by their existence. And yet, he wasn't big on swimming. I tilted my head back to get a better look at his position, trying to see how hard it'd be to pull him into the water, and wondering how angry he'd be if I really tried to tug him down. I pulled myself to the edge of the pool, pulling myself up a little from the surface of the water so that my arms rested on the side and my feet could kick freely.
"Not big on swimmin', and judging by the tone of your skin, also not big on sunshine." I clucked my tongue. "What are we gonna do with you on this island, Cal? It's a travesty."
