Only after they round a couple of corners does Sookie bother taking her phone out, firing a quick text to Lafayette and letting him know that she might be a little late heading home and not to worry, or at least to put off any worries until morning. She slips it back into her pocket, still watching her company warily, and every single bone in her body seems to be warning her of the dangers that could befall her while following a stranger back to an unfamiliar building. It's not one of the three residential buildings she knows well.

"A vampire, yes. Though there are different types of vampire in Darrow, or so I've heard," she says, quickly shaking her head. "Okay, you got a question, so — why do you wanna know? Actually, no, scratch that. You're not... a normal human, right?"

She holds her balled up jacket close to her chest, eyes bright even in the dark of the alley.
