Catching the approach of the Cheshire man in her peripheral vision, Sookie only just has sense and reflex enough to close her eyes and mouth as he draws closer, and sure enough, seconds later she's rewarded with an entire body covered in sticky, slimy vampire viscera. Scrunching her nose, Sookie lets herself get lost in a shudder, barely catching her head in time with the palm of her head, preventing it from scraping against the ground. Fortunately, having been facing away from the vampire, most of the guts have missed her face, and she squints as she turns around and onto her behind, gasping for breath.
By the looks of the man's face, this is something he didn't quite anticipate, and Sookie finds herself glad for the slight advantage where knowledge is concerned.
"I'm fine," Sookie says with a hard look, pushing some of the gunk off of her arms before slowly getting to her feet, wincing at the hardness of the ground, apparent even through her socks. "In need of a shower, but there are worse things. Thanks for, uh... comin' to my rescue there." She glances up, wincing slightly. "Oh goodness, I'll pay for your dry cleaning. And your groceries."
